okay, roughly 1.5hr speedy of a newly fabricated area for SW.
Really meant for the terrain to come across as extremely rocky/misty at first, and I had also planned on using the ship from Mull's paintover of my other sketch within this scene, but as I loosened up, it mutated into a funky, sort of super-heated, primordial-type planet of volcanoes (or geysers?) that's littered throughout with moss-covered boulders, sulfuric lakes and all that lovely jazz.
Definitely not fit for family-vacays, unkempt-ships, human life, or otherwise. With that in mind, some may ask what the purpose of having a resistance aligned, military installation hidden here is? Added mystery? Intrigue?
Maybe it's simply the case that the bad boys of the galaxy could care less about this planet due to the harsh environment, which makes it perfect to serve as a small staging ground of some sort in a key sector I guess. Let's allow the viewers to decide that. ;D
I thought perhaps it could be cool to have that gorgeous bird placed somewhere in the shot as well, so I did a quick block in of that, settling on a "rear-view" take with the exhaust lighting up the stage a bit to add some vibrancy to things.
I upped the original version of the concept-enviro as well so you could see how much it's changed, and to also throw into the mix to use as a base for a new image altogether if anyone would like to.

CB thats looking very cool indeed - the M/falcon really sets the image off. Looks to me like a rogues hideout sort of gaff.
ding dang dong........awesome enviro mate, loving the millennium-falcon in there too.
Shesh I guess I better do some more too...............
Arigato gozaimashita, fellas
Yeah, looking at it now, I think I do agree about keeping the Falcon placed in there. I also very much like that idea about it being some type of rogue's sanctuary, Ian.
my thanks again ^^b
